Issues: Higher Education K-12 Education Government Budget and Spending

Education is a main priority of State government. We have to prepare our youth for the demands of the future. That means better funding of all schools - K-12, higher education and technical schools. Decision making on school administration should be kept in local communities, not pushed down from politicians in Nashville. Dwayne is always interested in new innovations to improve public education. However, implementing vouchers for children to use at private schools has not worked in other states and would only take needed funds away from public schools.
